We are taking the holiday weekend off and enjoying the last (unofficial) weekend of summer. We’ll be back next week, September 12, joined by some exciting new vendors that I know our local customers will be thrilled about. Stay tuned this week for the announcement.
Until then enjoy the gorgeous weather!
Thanks for your support so far this year.
Management and Vendors of the Fulton Stall Market
Erica and Anton of P&H Soda know how to make a refreshing drink. Now that another (final?) heatwave us upon us, it’s exactly what you need to cool off. While it won’t be a real glass like this one to your left, it will just as fresh and likely more delicious.
In other market news, Brewla Bars has tweaked the recipe on their popular bar, The Buzz. Try a Tropical Buzz today and let Rebecca know what you think of the new formula. We think the new version is so deliciously different that it’s really like whole new flavor.
Please welcome new vendors Urbanrose Handmade Jewelry and Bugged Out to the market. Check out the updates to the vendor page for details on these additions and dates of upcoming markets.
Please note we will be CLOSED on Labor Day weekend. We are planning some exciting changes for September and October’s markets so please watch our site and Twitter account for more details.
Because of the trusty overhang provided by the Fulton Market Building, we’re here rain or shine. So despite a 90% chance of rain today (sigh!), our vendors are here and ready to sell their wares.
The summer is nearing an end so enjoy a your Sunday afternoon, sit on a bench, watch the rain, sip a coffee, buy some bread and pretend that time is standing still. In a few short weeks it’s back to school time, back to work time and no more summer Fridays.
We might close early IF the rain continues and/or gets worse. Watch us on Twitter just in case.

Hibiscus Soda from P&H Soda Co.
The market welcomes Anton and Erica of P&H Soda Co. to the stalls today. Their all-natural sodas and syrups are made the old-fashioned way (think syrup + bubbly water = delicious) and feature flavors like fresh Hibiscus and Ginger. Just another way to find cool refreshment at the Seaport this weekend. Learn more about what they do at: http://www.pnhsodaandsyrupinc.com/

Mole Ice Cream by Guerriila
Bridging the gap between food and charity, Guerrilla Ice Cream introduces a flavor inspired by the 2006 teachers strike in the Mexican state of Oaxaca. Called Asamblea Popular it’s Mole Oaxaqueño ice cream topped with corn meal cookie and pumpkin seed. Called the king of all moles, the mole oaxaqueño is a complex blend of 20 Mexican herbs, spices and chilies. The Asemblea Popular pays homage to the struggle for the Mexican people’s struggle for social justice. Find Guerrilla at the market, online and on Twitter.
And a stall market favorite, Yummy Coffee, brings a guest to the market today. As you may (or may not) know, Yummy donates ALL of it’s profits to autism-based charities and organizations. They are joined today today by Maji Mazuri who has the first model school in Kenya that both houses and educates special needs children. Since 1984 the Maji Mazuri organization has been assisting Kenyans in the Mathare Valley Slum break the cycle of deep poverty by providing loans, education, vocational support, counseling and health programs. Proceeds from today’s sales will go directly to their special needs children of their orphanage. They’ll also be selling jewelry made by the kids who benefit from their services.

We all know that post-Labor Day, the routine of ice cream-eating and warm evening strolls gives way to needing a light sweater and drinking hot coffee over iced. It’s only 45 days til autumn officially arrives.Until then though, let’s enjoy these last weeks of summer. The farmer’s almanac says we’re gonna have sunny days with thunderstorms and then cool evenings for the rest of the month. We’ll take it after July’s record-breaking heat.
At the market you’ll find: handmade soaps (hostess gift for that last beach trip), local wines (serve cold), exotic teas (iced now, hot later), pickled vegetables (savor summer crops into the fall), alongside treats and bites to eat at the market or take home for later. Many locals have let us know they miss our produce farmer, Gleblocki Farms. Thanks for your feedback, we miss them too. We are currently speaking to some other farms about participation and expect a new produce vendor to join us after Labor Day. Watch web site, vendor list and Twitter for more details.
With temps in the 90s and humidity to make a southerner blush, join us at our shaded market for a break from the heat and an ice cold treat. Vendors like Bao Bing, Guerrilla Ice Cream, and Brewla Bars have formed a “cooling station” of their own in the shade of the Fulton Market Building. The east river brings cool breezes and Seaport fave, Cowgirl Seahorse is celebrating it’s first anniversary this weekend. Yes, they have A/C! Brunch with Seahorse and then shop with us.
We need to regretfully report that Gleblocki Farms won’t be joining us at market today. With this news just in we’ll post a full report later in the week complete with up to date details on their market status.
Follow us on Twitter all day for specials, heat index updates and vendor listings! Happy Heat Wave!
